The end is always in sight?

This is a really interesting post from Jeff Stibel at the Harvard Discussion Leaders Blog site.

I have often thought of the concept of web 2.0 being another serious bubble that we will find may not live up to the hype we give to it but then again, I and many others could be very wrong.

This post likens the growth of social networks to the networks of neurons that are developed in the brain and the analogy works for me and Jeff gives some credible examples of why networks will and do come to an end only to be replaced by the next network.

Now my next question, surely this is behavioural more than just a fitting end being realised? and if so what is driving this behaviour?

I do love this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
