Vale Jane McGrath

Like many people here in Australia I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jane McGrath's death. I had the pleasure of listening to her and Glenn speak at a Pink Ribbon breakfast some years ago at the Westin Hotel. My mother is a breast cancer survivor.

My life was richer for hearing what she had to say about the plight of women who were suffering from breast cancer but also because she was genuinely a dedicated mum and wife who valued her existence and what it brought to the world at large.

Tomorrow, 10 cents from every Daily Telegraph sold will go to the McGrath Foundation.
The McGrath Foundation is committed to continuing Jane’s legacy by not only ensuring that young women are encouraged to be breast aware but by also continuing to raise the very valuable funds to support the placement of breast care nurses throughout rural and regional Australia to help women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sad but inspiring.........
