Culture and the city

Just a short post today about the "Sex in the city" hype and what seems to be a never ending cache of fans.

It got me thinking as to whether we truly understand culture and whether we dedicate enough time to "sensing" what the culture of an organisation is.

Many organisations have invested large sums of money in cultural diagnostics yet it still seems that I hear all the same stories when it comes to the adoption of web2.0 tools and using them to innovate and extend the organisation.

It begs the question; "Is it purely the lack of understanding of where the culture is and why it is; that prevents successful rollouts of web2.0 tools?"

Time to think.......
